New to Photoshop and looking for advice/help.

Hey whats up everybody, I'm a complete beginner at photoshopping and I wanted to see what you think about my first shop. I have a lot of barber friends and I wanted to help them out with their pics, so I'll be mainly working with pics similar to the one in the album. I know nothing about photography but I wanted to see if i can maybe sharpen up the photos a little bit or make the haircut blend stand out a little more without actually touching the blend. Here is my first attempt, all I did was add a Depth of Field but if anyone can tell me what else I should focus on that would be great. http://imgur.com/a/pNMTU
