Wayland as daily driver?

I've been curious to try Wayland recently (especially because X is as secure as telling a blind cat to guard all your stuff), but I'm still not sure just how practical it is. I've read up on the wiki a bit, but I'm curious how much I'll actually have to change if I dive in. Is it usable at this point? I'm willing to change stuff up, but not so much that I'd have to totally scrap my current configurations. Sadly I don't have the time at the moment to entirely redo everything, as fun as that would be.
