WRX Clutch Master Cylinder Delay Valve Delete

Has anyone deleted the delay valve from their 2008+ WRX/STI? If so, how did you go about doing it since the bottom of the 2008+ vehicles have a c-clip and metal disk rather than a threaded cap an seal like 2002.5 - 2007 WRX/STIs?

Example: Has anyone swapped a 2009 Outback CMS where the delay valve is the old style into the 2009 WRX? Would that work? Thanks for any help this subreddit can give on this.
