Please Connect a Smart Card?!?

How's it going r/techsupport. So I ran into this problem today for the first time and i can't seem to get rid of the message.

I am running windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series laptop. I went to open Nvidia Gforce Experience to update one of my drivers, since I received a notification that there were available updates, and I get a pop up that says "Please Connect a Smart Card." If i close the pop up, it will pop up again. Even if i click cancel on the pop up it will pop up again. I'm extremely confused and would appreciate any help. Thank you.
