Yellow Gas in Terrorist Hunt

Is there any way to reduce the appearance of the yellow gas throughout the mission? I literally cannot see in front of myself, meanwhile the A.I. terrorists can shoot me from across a room while I can barely make out the muzzle flash. It's almost unplayable.
