Dealer Noob Needing Nice Advice

Greetings,

Thank you so much for all of your time and this wonderful resource.

I am filling out my application/completing the necessary steps to be a licensed dealer in the state of Oregon, where I reside. My current hangup is finding a legal place to sell and display my vehicles. I only want to move 2-3 cars at a time. I spoke to the planning department and where I live is not permissible to sell cars from. Is there anyone here who has advice about how to go about finding a site to sell?

My current though is to approach a local gas station (whose owner is a family acquaintance) and see if I could rent a spot, so to speak.

Is there another way about this, apart from finding some real estate?
