International Shipping. Help me, please!

This is My first time doing Reddit Secret Santa and I'm hella excited! Bought a cool present for my giftee but now I'm a bit stuck. My giftee is in Belarus and I'm in California, US. I wanted an international match and I knew there would be higher shipping costs as a result but what in the world! I've never shipped internationally so perhaps this is the norm? UPS, FedEx and USPS are all upwards of $100 for a relatively tiny package! Am I doing this wrong..? Please help me get this to my giftee!
