Please recommend mic($) for girlfriend who does video interviews.

Canadian here. I know nothing about mics and I was hoping you guys would be able to help. I'm not the one buying it (her firm is), so I don't know the budget. I'd appreciate if you guys could recommend 5 mics from cheap to $1000CAN. A stand alone mic preferably.

She films her interviews with a consumer level dslr, so it does not have a mic port, so I guess she will have to record her sound separately, and she will be filming in gyms, so the athletes will be dropping barbells now and then so it'll be loud.
