Geared just fine, but merc has HORRIBLE resists in hell?

Seriously, he has andy's, infinity, and UM'd shaftstop. How the hell does he have like 20 fire resist? I could've sworn my merc never had an issue with resistances before, and I've always done either that setup or fortitude chest
