Zerolemon Battery Case for Note 5
I received this unit to test and review. Here are my initial thoughts after testing it for the day. I have owned Zerolemon products for my Note 2, Note 3, and LG G2.
This unit is similar to what I used for my LG G2. Just as the LG G2 had no removable battery, they created a sort of U joint USB connector that connects the battery to the phone. It's made so that the battery sits flush against the back of the phone when they are connected. This in turn gets put into the TPU case provided.
The unit itself does add some bulk to the Note 5, but it's not too bad. It does have an opening for S-Pen access. It's a little tricky, but manageable. The headphone port is recessed in quite a bit, so they have provided an extension to help out with that.
The battery charging the phone itself is not Fast Charging, at least not indicated by the phone when charging. It does have a Micro USB port on the left side to charge the battery if you have the case on the phone. The phone does indicate Fast Charging when you plug in a Fast Wired charger. I do not know if this Fast Charges the battery pack also. But it definitely does charge with the battery pack on the phone.
The camera lens is recessed in quite a bit also, which is nice, since you can lay the phone down on its back and not worry about scratching the lens.
The only thing I would like it to have the battery pack itself be Fast Charging.
Overall, it is of great quality. The case fits snug. Definitely a much needed tool for the Note 5.
