Colosseum Arena AI fact

Sorry if I don't have a screenshot to prove, but my Colosseum run was interrupted by an app crash at the beginning of the second match. When I entered Arena after I restarted my app, it restarted at the beginning of match 1. Surprisingly, the unit's AI RNG was all exactly the same: enemies were left with the same HP, the same units were killed, the same units used BB/SBB. Did that part of the Colosseum get saved then replayed before the app crash? Or is it a consequence of that fact that arena results are predecided (the RNG seed is decided before the arena match and saved in the case of app crash) before the match begins?
