Dragon Quest, or...

My friend moved to japan to teach English and started talking about Hunter with some locals. They said it's common knowledge what keeps Togashi on Hiatus, but they didn't say health or dragon quest. They said he's a pachinko addict... Anyone else heard this? It kinda makes more sense to me.
