Outdoor reception with Christmas lights- Opinions needed

I'm planning to buy up a bunch of lights on sale after Chirstmas. Should I get the lights with a green strand or white strand? All of the pics on Pinterest have fancy pants gold strand lights, but I'm goin' cheap, y'all! Thanks for weighing in!
