ELI5: Where are the missing 6 million voter for the house election in 2012.

In 2012, Obama got 65,915,796 votes. YET his democrat party for the house election only got 59,645,531 vote, Can someone explain where the missing 6 million voters have gone? Even the Rep has less house votes. People cant just be voting in one election when there go to the polls.
