[help] Thinking of going for Novatouch...

Since I broke my leg and had to endure 3-4 months of using my hands to support my entire body; I have had issues with my fingers hurting. Especially when using keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time or when gaming, eg if I play Minecraft where I press the W key down for a long time my middle finger turns stiff the next day and I have a hard time bending it. I have stopped gaming and will probably buy a steam controller if I intend to game again. My wrists feel fine though, it is mostly the fingers doing the complaining.

So to my question: Would going for a Novatouch (Topre) help with making relieve some of the pressure of pressing keys all day? Or would a keyboard with Cherry MX Red be a better fit? How are Matias switches?
