shared ownership vs 'main' ownership

Does shared ownership have any limitations? Such as xp bonusses?
I had 2.0 on my xbox one, and now 3.0 on my ps4.
After using a 2.0 character in my 3.0 toybox i had the option of shared ownership or guest. Is there a way to make me sole owner on ps4?
