Finally bought a drawing tablet. Need some help if anyone is willing!
A few days ago I ordered this Intuos Drawing Tablet by Wacom http://www.wacom.com/en-us/store/pen-tablets/intuos-draw-white
I posted in this sub a few months ago before I had any idea that a tablet would even be necessary. A lot of people were super helpful in regards to good programs for beginners. I'm still somewhat confused about a few things in terms of what program to commit to. I have a macbook pro and just ordered this tablet, so I'll need something compatible with both.
Alright, couple of things. Do I need photoshop? A few people mentioned to me that they usually make backgrounds in photoshop and then animate in Toon Boom or Anime Studio. This confuses me for some reason and is somewhat disheartening considering the cost of both. Is there a way to animate in photoshop? I won't have any programs to animate in or draw in when I get this tablet. So what the heck should I get? Is there any major difference between Anime Studio and Toon Boom? I'm just a little overwhelmed. I probably sound like an idiot, and I apologize. I've looked around on google but it's hard to find the answers I'm looking for. I really appreciate any and all help. Obviously low cost options are ideal for me. I did look around in and subscribe to r/learnanimation as well. As always, please redirect me if need be. Many thanks. <3
