Location: University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Date: January 2nd-3rd, 2016

Specific format is contingent on how many people participate, and will be announced to participants at end of registration. For now I am capping total participants at 32 (doubt we'll get there). However we are looking at minimum 4 games a day for the two day tourney.

Entrance fee will be $25 Canadian. With a 16-player pool, top 4 would get prizes, with the following cuts of the prize pool: 40% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd, and 5% for 4th. The remaining 20% would go towards admin costs of holding the tournament.

We would like minimum 16 people participating, first come first serve. However, players outside the Vancouver area would get priority over players from Vancouver.

Registration will close on December 19th. You can register by emailing the club at ubcmahjongclub@gmail.com indicating a wish to participate, or PM'ing me here on reddit. Proof of lodging somewhere in Greater Vancouver will be needed at time of registration. Entrance fee will be paid at check-in on the day of the tournament.
