Two Handed Sword Damage..?

Question to fellow Kruber players here, how come my Exotic two-handed sword kills clanrats in 3 normal/1 charged hit, but my Rare two-handed swords kills them in 2 normal/2 charged hits? Yes this is considering hits to the head too. I'm mighty confused :(
