Test drive cars in FH2?

I just upgraded from FM4 on Xbox 360 to FH2 on Xbox One.

Is there a way in FH2 where I can test drive any of the cars, like you could do on FM4? I tried the Rivals mode, but it seems like I can only select a few of the cars to rent.

Also, does anyone else notice that the cars in FH2 feel a bit slower than FM4? In FM4, the cars just feel a lot faster.
