Trouble with OBS Settings and getting a quality stream

Tech Support

Hi there, before I dump my computer specs and say "please help me" I just want to forward this by me saying I've done a lot of research before resulting to posting here. I understand this is likely a commonly asked question, but I'm at a bit of a roadblock. So let's begin!

My main issue is finding a proper balance between resolution, framerate, and overall quality/compression. I own my own video production company and have a background in video, so all of the terminology and theory behind this makes complete sense. I think that's the most frustrating thing about this is that I feel like I should be able to figure this out.

Here's my specs:

CPU: i7-3930K (6-cores, @3.8) GPU: 980 ti 6GB (Just got this recently) RAM: 64GB of DDR3 Corsair Vengeance OS: Windows 10 on 512Gb Samsung EVO Pro Net: FioS 100/100

My specs, in my opinion, are pretty good.

Typically I'm streaming WoW (via OBS Multiplatform). Not a very hardware intensive game, I know. But even while streaming this I just can't get it to look all that great. I've tried just about every setting combination, but maybe I'm changing too much, I don't know. Any sort of advice (particularly from someone with a similar setup) would be greatly appreciated.
