A week sick after only being in the company a month :(

Hi all. I'm just concerned about how much time I've been having sick after I've only been in the company for a month.

Last Wednesday night I started having severe pains in my gums. I went to my shift on Thursday but by Friday the pain had got so bad that I had to call in sick and go to an emergency dental appointment.
I was told I have a severe abscess and infection in my gums and was given antibiotics and painkillers for the next few days. I was told I would need a root canal the next Thursday (tomorrow). I was hoping that I would be able to get back to work once the infection had cleared up.

However on Friday night my face started swelling like crazy and the pain was unreal. I went back to the emergency dentist the next morning and was told that I had had an allergic reaction to the penicillin I had been taken and was given a new antibiotic and a new painkiller.

I asked about returning to work and was told again that the infection was really severe and given a sick note for three more days. I wrote a letter describing what had happened to personnel and put it with the sick note and got my partner to take in the note for me.

Today the pain is still really bad but is manageable. Tomorrow is my procedure.

I guess what I'm asking is am I going to get 'into trouble' when I go back to work. I've read on here about people being told by personnel that their reasons for absence weren't good enough and such. And I've only been there a short amount of time so it doesnt look good for my reputation.

I'm just concerned in case there are any more complications to the procedure and I have to take more time out sick I guess :/

Sorry for the ramblings
