Is Mikrotik a good solution for this scenario?

[Solved]

Thanks in advance, first off.

I am working with a maritime vessel right now that does not have any IT staff but has some intermediate requirements. From what I can tell their network has been Frankensteined over the years and to make matters worst the "ISP" is sub-par at best. They currently control the internet coming in as well as the router at the front of the network.

Basically at this point the person handling IT on the ship cannot control the bandwidth going to each user/machine/node on the network due to QOS being handled by the ISP. He is looking to make on the fly bandwidth changes that change with the needs of the ship. ISP is not nearly responsive enough to accomplish this.

From what I have seen Mikrotik might be a solution, aiding the technician in allocating bandwidth in a user friendly way. If so how would I go about determining which product would fit their environment?

Also, this is literally the only feature we need at this point. Not sure if Mikrotik offers a standalone device that would fit this.

Thank you!
