Upgrading from an S4

So recently my Galaxy S4 has been doing the "Sim card not detected please restart phone" which is a pretty common problem it seems and to boot I cracked the screen the other day so I feel its time to upgrade! I have a pretty small budget of $250ish and the phone needs to be unlocked, I'd love to get a phone with a fingerprint scanner, at least 32gb (or expandable memory) and decent battery life. Anyone know of any good phones out there fitting those specifics?
