Lying Laurie and The Time Brandon Was Hospitalized
This first part is only addressed to a few people, so skip to the bold part for the story.
So, first I want to address something from my last post. I posted photos of my cat and someone decided to call it out that when you reverse search it, it pops up on different websites. I am sure that it does. I posted the original photo back when I first got the cat on r/aww as well as posting the photo in a few Facebook groups. I am pretty sure the photo is mine since I took the photo and it is still on my phone. Anyone could have swiped it from anywhere.

Now, If you want to accuse me of lying and making stuff up, that is your choice. I am willing to provide proof if it makes you feel better, but I have no reason to lie here. This group is supposed to be a support group and lately people have gone witch hunting on things. It makes me very disappointed in this group.
The Time We Hospitalized Brandon
Right after the New Years, I truly think that for Brandon it sunk in that he was not going back to New York. That Grandma lied to him. He acted badly and was not sent back to her. That he was with us much longer than the 2 weeks she promised. Something in him snapped quiet violently.
On January 15th, my husband woke me up and told me that he had found a knife in Brandon's room. My initial response was no overly good, I will admit. I started crying and asking why. Mike's only answer was that Brandon said it was to hurt Ayden. I screamed for Mike to get Brandon out of the house, that I did not want that little psycho near my son. (Again, I am not proud of this, and it was not the appropriate response. I know this) Mike honestly looked broken and took Brandon up to my parents until I calmed down later that day.
When Brandon was gone, I went into the room he shared with Ayden (we lived in a 2 bedroom duplex, we were looking into moving into a 3 bedroom after the baby was born), and pulled off the covers of the bed. I ended up finding 3 different kitchen knives hidden in pillow cases and on the side of his bed. This terrified me because I knew that Brandon was violent towards Ayden and myself and had talked about murdering Ayden and me when Brandon was upset. I had dealt with 4 hour long screaming fits over homework and eating food, where he would hit himself and scream about how he could kill Ayden before I got to the room, how he wanted to shoot Ayden and see his brains on the walls, how he wanted to stab me and pull the baby out of my stomach. God, I wish I was making up some of this, because a 6 year old (his birthday in in November, he was 5 when brought down) should not be saying these kind of things. I recorded any interaction I had with him to cover myself (he would claim we beat him to teachers, I was told by CPS to record any time he was upset to cover myself against allegations).
I called a local hospital and asked what I needed to do. That I was terrified for my other children and I did not know what to do at this point. I was advised to bring him into the hospital for an emergency evaluation. I called Mike and told him what needed to be done and Brandon was admitted into a short-term facility for 2 weeks (the max they can keep a child without being upgraded to fulltime).
We called Laurie to let her know what was going on (We needed some medical records that she still had in NY). The first words out of her mouth were, "Are you sure Kateraide didn't plant those knives there?" No Laurie, Brandon admitted he put them there. "Well, are you sure she didn't manipulate the videos? Anyone can fake a video."
At this point I was done. I took the phone and called her the nasty bitch she was. I told her that maybe if she hadn't lied to the child we probably would not have had to hospitalize him, that MAYBE if she hadn't acted like a stupid bitch we would have been able to be a family.
Later on Facebook (I was still friends with her at this point, it was before we had gotten the hairless cat) she posted about how we were abandoning Brandon to a mental institution. How if we didn't want him, we could send him right back to her, since we didn't love him anyways. I responded to her post and laid out the facts. How Brandon was not mentally stable at the moment, how he was threatening to kill Ayden, how we could not take this risk with a new child in the house. Laurie's response: "Well, he didn't do that to me, so this is all your fault."
Yep, the woman who lied to a child and manipulated everything still did not see how she managed to screw up everything for her grandchild. It was always someone else's fault. We had family members from her side agreeing that we should just send Brandon back to her since we were "abandoning" him (we had to see him almost daily for therapy appointments and we talked daily on the phone).
On the next part of this, Why Brandon went back to Lying Laurie. I honestly don't want to write out anymore of this today. If you don't believe me, that's fine. I personally don't care. It feels nice to write it out.
