CenturyLink Gigabit and Prism TV Opinions [x-post from /r/CenturyLink]

I tried posting in the CenturyLink sub but it only has ~100 subscribers. Hoping that someone on this sub has gigabit in the Minneapolis area. Thanks!

I currently have Xfinity but am getting really fed up with constant TV pausing and TV box restarts during live sports (Wild, Timberwolves, NFL). CL is offering gigabit internet and Prism TV that's available in my area. I was wondering a few questions about both of these.

  1. What is the picture quality like for sports with Prism TV?

  2. How reliable is Prism TV? I watch a lot of live sports and the X1 system restarts all the time which takes about five minutes to reboot each time which can be really frustrating watching a live game.

  3. I've heard that DSL from CL is bad and never had good experiences at friends and relatives houses that have CL DSL. Is gigabit better in terms of reliable speeds and reliable uptime?

Thanks a lot for taking a look and helping me figure this out.
