My cell phone customer service spent 5 hours of my day and still deny my claim.
Rural area. Patchy service. Fine. I accept that.
Upgraded to new phone. Still patchy service, but now with annoying loud "clicks" - about 4 clicks to 1 spoken word. Reported problem. went through 5 different "remedies". Got sick of trying to remedy.
Until today.
I investigated the competition and they could save me $75 a month. I went back to my cell company. They said it's a network problem and it would cost me $1200 to get out of my new contract.
New company can only compensate $500 for switching to theirs.
So I called customer service and here I am 5 hours later (sparing you more details) and I am exactly nowhere.
That all sounds like business as usual but here is my rant: During my call to a retention specialist, I got a call from my cell company. It was an automated survey of their customer service. Three questions, 0-10, blahblahblah, gave zeros then let me record my specifics at the tone. "Hit pound when you're done recording." "BEEP!"
I say, "While the customer service representative spoke professionally and respectfully, I'm still so angry and disappointed that- "
"The automated voice said, "Thank you. We will review your claim. Goodbye."
Such a freaking crock of shit, VERIZON.
