The Best & Worst of JRPG Plot Twists.
I think we all can agree that JRPGs love to stick to the same old plots twists for the most part, but once in a while you do get ones that you didn't see coming, or at least thought were really well done, and so I ask of you all, to share the best and worst plot twists that you have seen in your years of playing JRPGs.
Please be sure to include spoilers, especially if the game was recently released.
I'll start with myself of course:
Best Plot Twist: I know I made the topic, but I really can't remember the best one for me, but if I had to choose right now, I think it's in Final Fantasy X, when you find out that Auron is actually already dead...he was about the only character I actually liked in that game, so when that twist happened, it really got me, though if anything it just made me like him even more.
Worst Plot Twist: Star Ocean 3, you know which one am talking about, what ? too easy ? ok ok, then I'll go with the one in Breath of Fire 4, when at the end of the game you find out that after all the gods are gone and the hero becomes a normal human, the bastard Yuna gets to live, after all the horrible things he has done and people he killed, the guy freaking turned the heroine's sister into a horrifying monstrosity that you had to kill to with your own hands, and he just gets to live and goes on with his plans to make more gods ?, I mean like wtf ? that really left me scratching my head, I kept replaying the scene to see if I missed something, but nope, that's how it goes, it's really messed up when you think about it.
