Cs job that includes tech support?

im a senior getting a BS in CS. I interviewed with an established and respected software company in the area, and I've come to understand their new hire program is basically a 1-2 year rotation program where you spend 50% of your time doing tech support (and 50% various development projects). Their products are very technical so the support is supposed to involve like debugging and stuff.

I like the company but I'm worried, especially if I'm not doing much coding in my first year out of college. Anyone had an experience like this before?
