.308 Combat Sniper keeps double firing?

Anyone else getting this or know a fix? I modded my combat rifle to be a .308 sniper, but half the time it will fire twice in a row instead of just once. It could just be the increased rate of fire.. but I didn't have this issue before I put a silencer and long recon scope on my gun. I think it happens a lot while scoped, but I don't use it much w/o the scope anymore so I'm not sure.
