[University Sociology/Religion] Applying Social Theories to Voodoo

I have a 10 page paper to write where I have to apply social theories or concepts to the Voodoo Religion. I have written 5 pages about how the modern world effects the Voodoo faith earlier on in the semester and I'm allowed to use a majority of that if I need to but I don't see how to expand it further or what other major sociological concept to bring in. Any insight?
