Can i file a chargeback when a product arrives broken?
Cliffs: Bought a watch replica from aliexpress (chinese ebay) for 80 dollars. Had great feedback and multiple people who bought the watch loved it. The watch arrived today, i opened the box and it's not moving. The watch was broke. So now i filed a dispute on aliexpress but i doubt they'll side with me.
The seller stated: You'll only get a refund if you ship it back in 2 days. But it's like impossible to ship a watch to hong kong in 2 days, when it took over a month to arrive here. Overnight shipping would probably be more expensive than the 80$ watch refund.
So is it possible to file a creditcard chargeback for broken goods? Is it possible to file it, even though the watch is a replica and thus ''illegal''? There was no brand names on the listing and the logo was photoshopped out, so i guess a naive buyer wouldn't be aware they were buying a replica.
I appreciate all the advice.
