Purchased M50x's, crackling sound in right headphone

Hi, I just bought a pair of M50x's. They sound great but when I plug them into my laptop there is sometimes a faint crackling noise in the right headphone (doesn't happen with other headphones). It happens whether I have audio playing or not, and only happens some of the time. They work fine on my phone and have no static.

Any idea what this could be?
