Stupid Question: Where can I go to find a group of people that I can call family over just a guild?

I'm not really sure how to articulate this so please forgive the terrible title. I'm looking for a group of people to play the game with where we can become close like family over just playing the game. I hope that makes sense.

I know when I submit an application to a guild that I do so where they look at me as a raider first and maybe a friend second. I want the reverse of that, I want a friend first and team second.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place as well. It's been a rough sort of time. I'll gladly move it where it should be.
