Help finding a credible or academic source about trans* narratives
So I'm working on a project and I need a source that helps support a claim that most of us know as common sense.
As trans* people we are constantly telling our story, our narrative. Our journey thus far. And regardless of those individual variables with transition, those narratives include mention of realization, coming out (or not yet coming out), and the repercussions both positive and negative of being trans*.
I mean you see it all the time on forums and in comment sections... we connect by sharing our stories and our stories almost always include mention of our socioeconomic position, health history, employment, housing, and experiences with discrimination. We do it over and over to connect to others and establish our identities.
Does anyone know of a report or source that speaks to this frequency and type of storytelling?
Thank you so much in advance.
