Inside the World of the 2.4K MMR Trench.
Hey, i'm a 2k mmr solo player, who mostly blames their team. I am 3.5k-3.6k party mmr. Let me tell you about the wonders of low level MMR matchmaking.
Before we start, here is my dotabuff: (yes i'm an ebola spirit picker) http://www.dotabuff.com/players/103637019
- The Draft - Your team is going to sit afk not picking a hero, you're going to end up picking mid first. Right after you pick your (lets say invoker) mid, your teamate is going to random sf, and take your mid.
Also, you'll only have 1 person who plays support role as your other teamates will draft carries, and if you do have 2 supports there is a 75% chance one of them is going to be absolute shit. Your supports will almost never be good ones because heroes like Rubick and CM are popular, (don't get me wrong they're good heroes) but NO ONE knows positioning as a support at this level of mmr. CM will be food for an offlane, and Rubicks play too deep.
Now onto carries. Well carries are basically are going to be the worst players on your team. They will pick Slark and max out leap or passive, or pick Juggernaut (not a bad hero) but they'll go aghs or some retarded item build.
Then there is me, in my cancerous little 2.4k mmr game going mid if it hasn't been taken. My best heroes include mostly team playing heroes (magnus, puck, Qwas Wex Invoker) and i'll pick a hero like QE Invoker, or Pudge (shitty hero but can work in shit tier mmr brackets). If you see this post early enough you'll see that I played invoker 5 times in a row, lost 4 out of 5 games despite going positive every game. I know Dota is not about going positive, but it's not like I fed mid as Invoker. For example, in one of my games my teamate who last picked razor when we needed a support dual offlane with another carry, and went 1-16. My Jungle Kotl abandoned after he died 4 times within the first 5 minutes. You'll end up losing the game because the safelaner will get fed and you'll just get fucked up by another fed offlaner when your teamate decides Death Prophet support.
- Part Two: The Equipo (team) Peru player - 1-15 feeds in lane - GG NO WARDS TEAM NOOB REPORT SUPPORT
American Player - Plays DP support or QoP support and argues that it's a legitimate hero to play support as and then shit talks over the mic. American Player #2 - Is not that bad at the game but is still ultra cancerous to play along with American Player #3 - (The guy you thank allah for fucking kids in your 2.4k mmr bracket)
Chinese Player - Mostly a tryhard but flames a lot.
If you haven't been able to tell there is a trend in shit talking in 2.4k mmr. I know this happens at all levels but in 2.4k if you die you're getting flamed by 3 people saying "gg ez mid" "gg mid noob" etc. etc. Everyone on the team flames eachother. I do this too, it's inescapable in the low level bracket.
- Part Three: The Laning Phase
I've basically already covered this but you're going to be the mid play who ends up fucking dumpstering the mid. However, your safelane died 3 times before you got your level 6 and is going to complain that you didn't gank enough. They keep returning to the lane death after death and the enemies get some decently fast items. Also in this bracket they are hardly any solo offlanes, and people are always shitty in trilanes sitting in your lane constantly sapping xp behind you, instead of harrassing the guy out of lane or stack pulling, or going for a gank while the enemy offlaner is completely zoned. Not to mention people play like pussies in the lane and never attempt an easy kill.
- Part Four: The Mid Game.
Your team constantly dives under towers for kills and trades 1 for 3. However, you want to use this time for farming because you know if you go with them you'll just die as well. That's why you farm up mid for your core items, then start pressuring lanes trying to open up farm for your carry. But 80% of the time your carry is bloodthirsty as fuck and keep diving and trading their own life for a shitty support kill. During this time is where your supports get flamed for wards and when they almost could have a mid game item they just buy all 4 obs and 2 sets of sentries. Putting your supports super far behind.
- Part Five: Item builds
Nothing much to say, people buy aghs on Juggernaut, Shadow blade on every hero, and skip bkb on every hero.
- Part Six: Winning/Losing the game (The final part)
This is how games always end in this bracket. Someone gets caught out, someone jumps in after they die, one by one into the 5 enemy heroes are they all die, you push mid get rax, and that's game.
In Conclusion: Playing Dota in the low level bracket can be the most cancerous thing to escape, yes, it IS peoples teamates faults MOST of the time. Always 4 Peruvians on your team picking 4 carries. Escaping this MMR hell is completely luck based depending on what teamates you got.
Thx for reading
Note: Idk why all the numbers say 1....
