HD598SE sound the same as my old Astro A40's

I bought the HD598 on Amazon black friday to replace my current Astro A40's.

I've been using them for about three hours now. And I've also been constantly taking them off and putting on the Astros to compare.

I literally can't tell the difference between them. Is there something wrong with my 598's? Is it possible I received a fake pair like some others have?
