[TX] Guy wants to sell me a motorcycle that was abandoned on his property...

I came across and have come into contact with a guy selling a 2002 Suzuki Intruder on Craigslist. The bike is in very good condition, although you can clearly tell it's been sitting for a while and the battery is dead, and the oil will likely need changing.

Basically, his ex-coworker wrecked his truck and left him the motorcycle to cover part of it but never transferred the title, and then cut contact with him. After that the bike was sitting in the Craigslist guys' storage for roughly a year and he is now attempting to sell it. If you account for the time the guy from CL has stored the bike for the ex-coworker, he would owe him ~$3650. (according to the CL guy, at $10/day)

Isn't it technically still owned by the title holder? I read into what constitutes an abandoned vehicle (link here) but the process seems like it would be out of my control, and rather the responsibility of the CL guy.

So, my question would be, can I legally purchase this motorcycle without a legal repercussion eventually? Is it even his to sell?

Thanks in advance.

tl;dr - guy abandoned a motorcycle on dude's property and cuts contact for 1+ year(s), and now wants to sell the motorcycle

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the guy from CL is willing to sign any paperwork that I bring him, including a bill of sale that documents that he is, in fact, selling the bike that was abandoned to me.
