Military like plane I saw (No pictures)

This was probably 2012, I was driving home, in Kitchener Ontario, Canada. And when I looked up I saw an aircraft hovering, this thing looked like an aircraft carrier quite honestly, I believe it had four propellers facing downward. I can't give much more of a description, but I've looked through the planes the Canadian military has and found nothing similar. I'm extremely interested to find out what it is.
