Defense Break and Ignore Defense

From a cursory search I didn't find anything that answered this question:

If the target monster has a defense break debuff, and it gets hit with an ignore defense attack such as Lushen's Amputation Magic does it take more damage than it would without the debuff?

I would think that defense break wouldn't have have an effect on the damage since it would be reducing an ignored value, but I figured someone here might know how the two mechanics work better than I do.
