Help?

When i was maybe 10 or 12 i had 2 books, one was a warship book and had cross-sections of ships and what life was like at sea for a sailor during the 16th-18th centuries.

The other book was a maya-esque book that came with a code breaking thing with a turtle printed on it, in the turtles shell were several holes so when you opened the book you could put the turtle on a page to find clues and such.

Would anyone know what either of those books are called? These descriptions are all i can remember from them, thank you in advance.
