I am going nowhere in life
I want to be a physicist and discover great things for this world, but I'm not doing anything to accomplish that goal... most physicists were brilliantly intelligent children... I make B's and A's but outside of the classroom, I do nothing that would signify intelligence.
To make things worse, I have no friends at school. I barely talk at school, and when I do talk, it's either to a teacher or if some other student has approached me first. I don't seek social situations, but I want to have friends. I don't even know how to cope with such a self-canceling situation like that. Worst of all, I have a crush on this girl, but it is truly unrealistic for me to approach her and 'ask her out' because I'm the quiet kid, and that would be weird.
I barely get sleep because I get long hours at work, but I need the money to save up for college. When I have the opportunity to sleep, I am kept awake by homework and anxious thoughts. I know they are irrational thoughts, but I can't shake them.
My only two real friends are starting to be more distant from me as we go to different schools. I'm the opposite of a successful person, and I'm not sure that I can ever do anything with my life.
