Should I toss this Lenovo u530 laptop from 2 years ago?

I spent $700 on this laptop...it was the first time I got something "nice", a Lenovo u530 laptop. It was working fine until it did a few funny boots one day, taking long. Then one day it stopped posting. I could not get the laptop to post anything to the screen yet all the hardware seems fine. I cleared the CMOS. I checked all parts are connected. I tried to get to BIOS, I tried the recovery button. I think a software update may have soft-bricked the laptop with a vid driver or something or Lenovo did something lame to the BIOS. Should I sell the laptop for parts on ebay or something?
