Is it possible that the Rambam/Maimonides did not believe in hell and techiyas hamaisim/resurrection of the dead?
In Moshe Halbertals "Maimonides", the author suggests that he did not believe hell or techiyas hamaisim/resurrection of the dead, but he concealed these veiws because he knew it wouldn't go over well with his contemporaries. His argument to the obvious problem of the Rambam clearly stating that one must believe both of these is rather weak in my opinion. Is it possible that arguably the most important post biblical Jew held this seemingly blasphemous veiw?
