Ridiculous bugs

After 100 hours, beating the game 3 times (including a full playthrough on survival difficulty) and countless quests, my biggest issue with the game is the bugs. No, I'm not talking about errors or glitches, I'm talking about the ones that buzz around lazily above their little swamps. They seem like nothing more than a nuisance until you get near them. Then you know you've fucked up. The battle hardened, Raider killing, Sentry Bot destroying, Deathclaw fighting survivor of the wasteland, immediately turned to a pile of blood and bones by something of an enlarged housefly. I will fight Legendary Deathclaws without flinching, I will clear out entire gunner and raider camps without using a stimpak. But the second I hear the fateful buzz, or the horrible spitting, I will turn and run. Bloatflies, Bloodbugs, Stingwings. On their own they are formidable foes, but the many different forms they come in, the fact that they travel in packs, the AI that causes them to dodge every single bullet, the insane poison damage. I cower in fear from the bugs. The most dangerous creatures in Fallout are not Deathclaws or Behemoths, they are the bugs.
