Scrub needs help

PS4- I picked up JC3 and I don't know if I have missed a tutorial but I was wondering if there is a way to run in this game? I also see that clicking R3 is supposed to zoom with weapons but it does nothing so far. I am maybe an hour into the game so I don't know if I missed something.

Edit- I did play JC2 and I swore I could run in that.
