Just watch the first half. Game pretty much ended at that point.

I think their explanation was that because there was a bit of incidental contact right before the defender slipped, it looked to the referees like the defender was pushed. Similar to what happened on Thursday night with the phantom facemask on Rodgers. Doesn't make it easier to swallow, but that's just the way it happened.
