Advent II

The ear hears more in desert climes.
 

To live in this very moment;
to make straight the way of the Lord.
 

A chicken casserole;
rooms for us in your father's house.
These 1040 and state tax forms;
my hard heart for riving.
 

Water, wheat, wine, and wood,
what is one way? Knowing
to scream, to shout, to sneer at sin,
then speak one word: prepare.
