[MHO] How to help you to translate Chinese (Bluestacks)
Hello everyone, with the open beta starting very soon, we will all need some help to understand what a quest wants us to do, what stats a weapon has or anything else... A good way of doing this is by using the Google Translate App by taking pictures of your screen to translate with your phone, but you will have some reflection/blur issues and the App will have some trouble finding Chinese words in your pictures.
I figured (thanks to PixelPolish's videos) that the best way of doing this would be by downloading bluestacks, which is an android app emulator, and then use google translate from it along with your windows' snipping tool (screenshot) to give it a picture to translate, this will help the App to be more precise, hopefully.
To do this you'll need to:
-
Download bluestacks and install it.
-
Install the Google Translate App, it will also ask you to log in with your google account a couple of times, and accept some ToS etc... This only happens the first time you use the store from bluestacks.
-
Open Google Translate, either from the store or you can go back to all your apps.
-
Download the Chinese package, this can take some time
-
Take a screenshot, you can do this with Print Screen, but your picture will be very big, or use the snipping tool to take then save your screenshot.
-
Translate your screenshot, "slide" your mouse by doing a click and drag other the text you want to translate, or choose the option to select all. Sometimes a portion of text won't be recognized as Chinese and you can try to take another screenshot but this won't work everytime.
You are done!
Also sometimes when you start bluestacks it will ask you to either pay $2 or install apps, choose the "install apps" option, it won't actually install anything, bluestacks is completely free.
If you find any typo or weird sentences point them out, I'm not a native english speaker ;)
