My First Submission, "Osaka Tokyo"
Autumn and the crunchy leaves
obstacles in front of sleep
demolition and debris
feign your own
transparency;
hear the city humming loud
buildings shield us from all sound
we see quiet qualm the proud
evaporate into the clouds;
we move slow in front of trees
feel and ache when Nature sings
branches twigs and broken leaves
waiting for the never breeze;
petals plucked
strong defeated
history without meaning;
guilt without a plea
fable future
set us free;
surf the world she said to me
pour yourself all over sea
forbid the tree bark
sap the breeze
linen breath
honey to bees;
please start counting on my sheets
the smallest coins make royalty
dim shot nightmare knight the Queen
jewels and crowns for polishing;
we could pick unripened fruit
or draw some bad cartoons
we could scoop up melons just to throw at trees and lose;
we could eat the pastures
pretend they were not there
but once grown back i must insist you harvest them instead;
avoiding danger keeps us clean
we can’t avoid what can’t be seen
fable future sparkle free, though
we create the melody;
always wait and never see
fire your blanket archery
let all out to let all be
i am dartboard
Ready.
Hungry? 1 2
Appreciate you taking the time to read my poem. :)
